Exciting day here at Guitar Lessons Nottingham – I welcomed a new student who has already been playing for three years and has tried lessons with other teachers before. He came in a bit nervous about starting again, so I tailored the session to his favourite style of music to make it feel more relaxed and enjoyable.

We started with some rhythm work over a backing track, switching between chords and power chords, before moving into scales and shaping them into solos. By the end of the lesson, his nerves had disappeared — he was smiling, playing confidently, and told me he left feeling like a rockstar. He was so pleased with the progress he made in just one session that he’s already booked back in for next week.
