I’ve got a Jackson coming in with a nasty headstock break. The owner’s gutted, and I don’t blame him — it’s about the worst sight you can see on a guitar.
The good news is, it’s a clean snap, which means with some careful gluing, clamping, and a bit of patience, it should go back together nicely. Once it’s solid again, I’ll get it set up and back in his hands where it belongs.
Headstock breaks look scary, but they’re not the end of the world. With the right repair, the guitar will be just as strong as before.
